My standard fees are £25 per hour pro rata, plus expenses

There is a minimum charge of £25 for a single look-up or record retrieval.

For more open ended projects, such as researching the life on an individual, tracing a family tree, fees are tailored to suit each assignment. A budget for the first piece of research is agreed and a deposit is normally payable in advance.

Fees cover the cost of:

• time spent researching at archives and online

• report writing

• preparing and entering data for family tree compilation

• communicating with clients

• Document copying, photography permits and postage are all extras, charged at cost.

• Payment can be made by PayPal or Bank transfer
